Should women who are pregnant or nursing take Tamiflu?
Tamiflu may be of benefit for some pregnant and nursing women with 2009 H1N1 influenza. At this time, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that pregnant women who are sick from 2009 H1N1 influenza may develop more serious illness and should be treated with a flu drug. Pregnant and nursing women are advised to talk with a healthcare professional before using Tamiflu.
